Company overview:

BCA operates across every link of the post-factory automotive value chain, providing physical and digital solutions at scale to their customers.

Once a new vehicle leaves its place of manufacture, they provide a comprehensive range of services including single and bulk vehicle collections and deliveries, inspection checks, customs management, storage, refurbishment, vehicle preparation, finance, pricing data and used vehicle buying. Their digital and physical auction platforms bring together OEMs, leasing companies, fleet operators, retail dealers and buyers to efficiently transfer the ownership of vehicles while protecting value.

European Divisional Finance

The core on-going responsibilities of the department consist of Commercial Development, Business Partnering, Financial & KPI Reporting, FP&A, Treasury and Compliance (Tax, VAT and Legal).

The department operates as a centre of excellence for Europe and works as a multi-disciplinary team to direct changes, offer guidance and support to the business as a whole. The department also run, or take part in, a number of projects, covering areas from acquisitions to internal audit.

The European Finance Manager needs to be someone who is task-orientated, driven to succeed and a natural self-starter. The European Divisional Finance team has recently been overhauled with a new European Finance Director and European Financial Controller recruited, making this an exciting time to join in a period of change and improvement.

European centrally led activity within the European business is currently low and this provides an excellent opportunity for the right individual to grow this part of the department and create a reputation for themselves across the Group. This role will have exposure to the senior finance community across the Group, including the European Finance Director.

The core responsibilities are as follows:

* Manage and improve the process and control environment within the individual countries

* Liaise with Internal Audit and Group IT on the process and control environment

* Manage and improve European cash forecasting

* Manage and improve the European treasury management and cash repatriation process

* Liaise with Group Finance and European business’ on cash/treasury matters

* Lead and assist on ad hoc projects across Commercial Development, Business Partnering, Financial & KPI Reporting, FP&A, Treasury and Compliance

* Assist the European Financial Controller with delivery of specific projects

Candidate Profile:

* Qualified accountant with a recognised qualification (Top 10 audit firm)

* Previous experience will include training and qualification with a recognised employer.

* Good oral and written communication skills a prerequisite.

* Excellent interpersonal skills

* Articulate, persuasive, confident, possessing sound intellect – a self-starter with the ability to combine accounting rigour with practical business requirements.
