Hays Senior Finance is delighted to be working in partnership with Dunlop Oil and Marine Ltd based in Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire who are looking to recruit a Head of Finance to join their team. 

Dunlop Oil & Marine are world leaders in the design, manufacture and supply of hoses for the oil, gas and petrochemical industries, for both offshore and onshore based operations. Their manufacturing plant in Grimsby, UK, has been in operation for over 60 years and is the largest offshore hose manufacturing facility in the world. The confidence in their ability to continue to meet customer expectations is enhanced by their position as part of the Industrial Fluids Solutions Business Unit of ContiTech, which is a Division of Continental AG. 

The Head of Finance will have a team of 14 staff with 4 direct reports, and report directly to Business Unit Controller in Germany. This is a pivotal role in ensuring resources are in place for the effective operation of the Financial and Management accounting functions, along with Purchasing and IT by leading and liaising with the responsible department Managers. This will include responsibilities for asset management, working capital, cash-flow forecasting, statutory and tax reporting, capex projects and compliance with internal procedures and Group policies. 

The successful candidate will be a finance professional and be a qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, ACMA, ICAS) with at least 5 years’ experience of operating at a senior level, and previous experience working within industry or Professional Practice. You will be highly commercial, a strong team manager and be able to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation, both at local and Group level.
