Our client is a multi-national service sector plc with revenues exceeding £350 million, they now seek to recruit a talented Audit Manager to help strengthen their existing Audit team.  This business have a real passion for customer excellence and have grown organically through strategic acquisitions in both in the UK and internationally.

The successful candidate will manage the corporate risk and assurance function with two direct reports, and will provide a full risk management service to the group. 

Key responsibilities: for this role:

  • Coaching and developing team members (both direct reports and the wider Risk and Assurance team) to deliver excellence
  • Development of the annual internal audit plan in conjunction with operational stakeholders.
  • Manage the delivery of the corporate internal audit process from budget setting, planning, fieldwork and reporting phases.
  • Provide recommendations for improvement made through the assurance process
  • Completion of fieldwork at international sites
  • Management of relevant budgets
  • Supporting the timely and accurate reporting to the Head of Risk and Assurance for onward reporting to Board and Audit Committee

Our client is seeking an ambitious individual, qualified (CCAB/CMIIA/ACA or equivalent) who will demonstrate:

  • Technical expertise in relation to risk management and internal audit processes
  • Understanding of control frameworks and is able to identify key risks and controls
  • Builds honest and open relations with the senior management team
  • Strong influencing skills capable of obtaining commitment to new ways of working
  • Strong team player but with the ability to take personal responsibility for delivery of own work
  • Sound people management skills with the personality to motivate and inspire
  • Good planning and organising skills is essential, able to demonstrate the ability to work to strict deadlines to produce reports and results
  • Ability to be trusted when dealing with sensitive and confidential information
