Finance Manager

My client is a developer who due to continued growth is now looking for a Finance Manager to work with the regional Finance Directors in implementing the operating model and reporting requirements set out by group. You will have experience of driving change, have the capability to challenge and support the local regions and have excellent reporting skills.

Travel will be required on an ad hoc basis to support the various geographical regions across the Midlands and North.

The role

Key responsibilities will include the following:

• Work with Group Finance, the Divisional Finance Teams and the Regional Finance Directors to define and continually improve the processes, procedures, templates and ways of working between the Regional and Group Finance teams
• Ensure that the Regional Finance operating model is clearly documented, with suitable communications and training materials being developed where required
• Work with the Regional Finance and Group Finance Teams to ensure effective understanding and adoption of the operating model through effective communications and training across relevant teams
• Spend time with the RFDs and Group Finance to identify areas for operational improvement, and coach/support the Teams in addressing these opportunities and any other escalated issues

Work with the Divisional Finance Director to support the implementation of Group processes and initiatives focusing on:

• Controls testing
• Facilitating regional reporting on strategy progress
• Supporting multi-tenure offering
• Land CBR and GIC support
• Coordinating financial information gathering to support build cost reduction and sales improvement initiatives
• Ad hoc analysis related to areas of concern across the division

The person

You will be a qualified accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA) with the ability to deal and challenge people at all levels.  You will have experience of supporting and implementing change, have a consultative style, able to secure the buy-in of others to new ideas and ways of working
