Management Accountant

Exciting new opportunity for an ambitious Management Accountant / Financial Accountant to play a leading role within a high growth retail business

The Management Accountant / Financial Accountant role has become available due to an internal promotion and is a good reflection of the recent and ongoing success of the business.

Whilst reporting into the Financial Director you will be responsible for the production of Management Accounts for one of the divisions and support the Group to deliver financial information to support decision making.

Key Accountabilities and duties include:

• Producing management accounts for one of the group companies along with commentary
• Assisting with the consolidation of accounts for Group level reporting
• Completing monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts
• Completing all intercompany transactions and all relevant journal entries
• Initially working on bank reconciliation to support current workload (and to become familiar with all aspects of the business)
• Preparation of weekly and monthly financial reporting pack.
• Conducting analytical review of monthly figures and reporting on variances to budget/forecast
• Supporting the year statutory accounts production and audit process
• Supporting the Group FC with all other ad hoc accounting and reporting tasks as required
