The opportunity

This is a newly created role, working for a private equity backed professional services company with a global reach. The business has an enviable list of blue-chip and they have grown exponentially following PE investment. This is a newly created role to support their growth further.

The role

Reporting to the Head of Finance Planning & Analysis, but with significant exposure to all of the senior management team, this is a key role in supporting and driving the fast pace of growth in the business through insightful financial analysis.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting senior management and the Board by providing financial insight, analysis and guidance on performance in order to drive strategic decisions
  • Improve the focus and quality of financial performance management
  • Provide business partnering support to the VPs, Project Managers and the CEO
  • Deliver critical business information to key stake holders in an effective and timely manner in order to maximise bottom line performance
  • Effective communication and reporting of activities to a wide range of stakeholders, including the Exec team
  • Work closely with project managers to ensure accurate costings and pricing of proposals with ongoing project support and financial monitoring
  • Regular presentation of key performance measures, including staff, contractor and utilisation projections
  • WIP management and monthly revenue reporting
  • Work with Business Development team on new business pipeline and bids, providing financial modelling and pricing support
  • P&L budgets and forecasts, including maintenance of budgeting model
  • Identify, communicate and monitor significant positive and negative potential swing factors
  • Advice on financial implications of contract issues
  • Prepare monthly management reporting on revenue, cost of sales, and operational expenditure, enabling revenue generation and cost savings
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of process improvement and transformation projects.

Basic Job Requirements 

  • Qualified/part qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or equivalent level of experience
  • Very strong financial modelling skills (Excel) and ability to present information to drive action
  • Verifiable track-record of delivering on your targets, improving processes and delivering projects
