Job purpose:

To act as the primary point of contact to the division head and provide internal stakeholders with accurate, timely and informative management information.  To actively support and challenge the business across all aspects of financial performance and provide insight and analysis to support new initiatives as well as operational and strategic objectives.  To manage and develop the underlying team.

To contribute towards the delivery of the Finance vision and strategy to become a Centre of Excellence adding value to all internal and external stakeholders.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Production of monthly management information packs for the respective business area
  • On-going development of financial management information to best cater for the evolving business requirements
  • Preparation of the division’s budgets and forecasts (bottom-up and top-down process)
  • Supporting the business in delivery of its objectives and improvement in financial performance
  • Taking a key role in the Group’s strategic roadmap and implementation
  • Support the business in evaluating investment and business opportunities
  • Development and realisation of cost saving initiatives
  • System development including creating new cubes, dimensions and analysis metrics within TM1
  • Collaborating with other areas within the Finance department to enhance the delivery of information and promote team work
  • Identifying, recommending and implementing improvements in working practices, financial reports and enhance process efficiencies
  • Managing small and medium size projects and liaising with the Change Management Department as necessary
  • Market and peer group analysis
  • Manage, supervise and mentor direct reports and other members of the team
  • Carry out year-end performance appraisals and regular 1 to 1 meetings with direct reports

 

Qualifications

  • Recognised professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with 3 to 4 years of post-qualified experience.

Experience

  • Experience of working in a Business Partnering role and managing direct reports
  • Relevant market knowledge and best practice disciplines
  • Extensive use of Microsoft Excel
  • Knowledge of TM1 an asset
  • Experience of working on multiple tasks and responding quickly to management requests
  • Proven ability to perform under pressure and adjust plans to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Ability to stay knowledgeable on technical accounting and business issues
