The Consultancy Group are currently recruiting a Finance Manager role for a Media / Production business based in Central London. Reporting into the Finance Director the Finance Manager will support the Digital Content and Advertising Revenue Stream Business Units from a financial perspective. The Finance Manager will provide Analysis, and Commercial Insight to the Finance Director and MD's of the business units to aid decision making.
Duties include:
- Responsibility for the preparation of monthly management accounts within deadlines agreed with group finance
- Variance analysis and commentary of actual performance against budget/forecast
- Responsibility for ensuring the Finance Director and MD's are across all significant variances and issues
- Preparation and ownership of detailed annual budgets, 3 year plans and detailed quarterly forecasting within deadlines agreed with group finance
- Ability to clearly talk the CFO and MD's of the business areas through the accounts and answer questions
- Have knowledge of major contracts and ensure that they are run in accordance with the contract and within budget
- Preparation and/or review of ad hoc costings/budgets and financial data as required for the FD and MD's
- Support to the Finance Director for new business proposals as required
The successful candidate will be a Qualified Accountant with solid Management Accounts, Budget and Forecast Preparation experience and possess strong commercial awareness and data interpreting abilities. They will be personable with a great attitude and excellent communication skills, with the ability to develop good relationships with both finance and non-finance stakeholders, including senior managers. Experience of working in a media environment is preferable
