This is a very interesting and varied role working for this US based technology organisation. There are two main areas of responsibility that the successful candidate will be responsible for. The primary tasks will be centred around the general ledger activities of the finance function. These will include ownership of the balance sheet and P & L, statutory reporting, VAT reporting for the UK and European entities, accruals and prepayments and act as primary contact for statutory audits around Europe.
This role will also manage the payroll function of all European entities. The payroll is outsourced to a third party provider so your responsibilities in this respect will be to ensure the outputs and returns from the bureau are calculated and entered correctly. You will also ensure that the payroll data is accurately accounted for in the Oracle accounting system. You will also assist in administration of employee benefits in Europe.
Ideally you will hold a professional accountancy qualification. You will be self-motivated and possess strong analytical skills with good technical accounting knowledge. Prior experience of Oracle is an advantage and your Excel abilities will be excellent. This is an expanding organisation and as such offers great scope for progression for the successful candidate.
