Role: Permanent (interim/temp considered)
Salary: £26,000 per annum
Our client is based in the heart of the historical City of Canterbury and they are looking to appoint a Finance Officer to start ASAP!
You will report directly to the Finance Manager and your main responsibility will be to maintain Cash Books, Accounting Records and the day to day Cash Management.
Due to the urgent nature of this role our client will consider taking someone on a temporary/interim basis.
The key areas of responsibility in this role will be as follows;
Provide cover for the Purchase Ledger/Sales Ledger when needed.
Prepare paying in slips for the banking of cash and cheques.
Reconcile both cash book and bank accounts.
Assist with monitoring of utilities such as gas, water and electric.
Assist with the completion of statutory returns
Manage the Cash Books.
Quarterly VAT submission.
Oversee any cash transactions including petty cash.
Manage any cheque payments.
Responsible for any foreign currency.
Reconcile balance sheets and control accounts on a monthly basis.
Assist with Month End.
