Management Accountant

My client are a fantastic and expanding manufacturing and distribution business based in the Birmingham area. They are currently recruiting for an exciting Management Accountant position to join their team and to play and integral part in not only the finance function but to impact the wider business. The ideal candidate will be an ambitious Management Accountant with good communications skills who enjoys interacting with operations.

Key responsibilities include:

- Reporting directly to the Head of Finance.
- Preparing and assisting with expense payments for employees
- Preparation of the management month end accounts and year end accounts
- Assisting with Audit requirements
- Cost of Sales calculations and reporting
- Pricing queries and updating on IT systems and being part of NPI processes
- Updating and writing SOP's for Finance
- Preparation of monthly variance reports, reconciliations and nominal code reviews
- Preparation of month end journals, calculations for sales, rebates, manual credits, manual invoices, cost of sales, stock and manual adjustments on a monthly basis.
- Information packs for managers and head office produced for both sales and management account reporting
- Responding to client, supplier and other stakeholder queries in a timely and professional manner
- Completing monthly Intrastat/EU sales returns
- Quarterly VAT returns
- Completion of National Statistics
- Understanding the connections between Finance and other departments (especially with IT systems)
