Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with a division of a FTSE listed business to assist in the recruitment of an experienced Payroll Manager. This is an interim role for a fixed period of 6 months and will be based in the company's Sheffield offices.
The role will primarily involve effectively managing and overseeing the workload of a team of 5 payroll administrators and ensuring maximum efficiency and quality of output across a team supporting 7 monthly payrolls for c. 3,000 employees. Although not responsible for running a payroll of their own, the Payroll Manager will support with queries and provide guidance and coaching to a relatively new team. Assessing current processes and implementing any necessary improvements will also form part of this role.
My client is looking for a diligent, very well organised and composed Payroll Manager. CIPP qualification would be highly desirable, but excellent people management skills and up to date knowledge of UK payroll legislation are essential.
