Accountant needed for General Practice Managerial Role

Fantastic opportunity for a General Practice Manager to join a well-established and successful Independent accountancy firm in a management position with the potential to progress to partnership in the future.  The firm are succession planning so there is a genuine opportunity to progress up to Partner for the right accountant.

Your new firm

Based in Huddersfield, my client is a long established accountancy practice. Working across the region, they have a diverse portfolio of clients, ranging from sole traders, partnerships and SMEs to large, multi-million pound businesses.

Your new role

As the General Practice Manager you will report directly to the Partners, and will take responsibility for an existing portfolio of clients and provide them with a full suite of accountancy services. This will include accounts preparation, audit, tax compliance / advisory work for individuals, partnerships and corporates, liaising with HMRC, ad hoc work, and any payroll and VAT enquiries as needed.  This new accountant will also get involved in staff management and helping the Partners to promote the firm.

Your attributes

The General Practice Manager will play a key role within the practice. You will be qualified with a recognised accountancy qualification (ACA / ACCA).  The firm is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated accountant. The successful accountant is likely to have a general practice background dealing with varied clients, ranging in turnover from start-ups to audit clients.
