Group Finance Manager

Marks Sattin are working with an international business based in Barnsley. With a turnover of £500 million, the international group are looking for a Group Finance Manager to support the Group CFO and Group FC. As a key contributor to the development and delivery of the Group, this is a highly visible role that requires gravitas, motivation and agility.

Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will be responsible for providing support to the group functions. You will be liaising with the Divisional Financial Controllers and Shared Service Centre, ensuring consistency across the group and reviewing and challenging the statutory financial information and the annual budgets and quarterly forecasts. As a potential successor within the group, it is imperative that the successful individual is technically and commercially focussed.

Key responsibilities:

Producing the half year and annual consolidated statutory group financial statements under IFRS

Liaising with the Divisional Financial Controllers, ensuring consistent reporting across the group Reviewing and consolidating the monthly management accounts, including preparation of the dashboards and commentary for the board

Working with the external auditors, especially during reporting periods

Reviewing the consolidation of the annual budgets and quarterly forecasts

Producing trend analysis and providing insight into the group's performance

Continuously identifying opportunities for process improvement via automation Ensuring the internal controls are operating effectively across all the finance functions

The ideal candidate will have:

ACA/ACCA Qualified

A natural ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally
