Elevation Recruitment Group are currently seeking an ambitious and experienced Finance Manager for a national service business with operations spanning across the UK and Ireland. You will be leading a team of 4 within one of their divisions and will take responsibility for accurate reporting, clear analysis and provide Business Partnering support.
Duties & Responsibilities will include: -
*Managing a team of 4
*Providing continuous improvement for the department and looking at better reporting capabilities
*Preparation of forecasts, outlooks and annual budgets
*Working closely with commercial finance and merchandise teams
*Conducting variance analysis by channel and region against budget, prior year and forecast
*Managing the financial reporting and balance sheet provision for a £20 Million subsidiary
*Business partnering with various departments including commercial, operations, IT and HR to discuss cost centres and budget provisions
*Preparation and posting of accruals and prepayments
*Regularly liaising with non-finance functions including Sales teams to forecast and review results
*Preparation/review of reporting to external parties and liaising with auditors during quarterly finance audits and annual statutory audit
*Calculation of complex provisions and allocation of supplier income at BU and customer level
*Design and implementation of summary reporting of supplier and customer allowances
*Cash forecasting for customer rebate payments
*Maintenance of general ledger reconciliations and monitoring ageing of accruals
To be considered for this role, applicants must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences: -
*Qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA
*Experience of working in a fast paced environment
*Staff management experience would be highly desirable
*Good IT skills and confident in the use of Microsoft Excel
*Good business partnering skills and able to build relationships with non-finance colleagues within the business
*Good communication skills
*Ability to prioritise own work and re-prioritise when necessary
*Strong attention to detail and able to produce work with a high level of accuracy
*Able to analyse information with problem solving abilities
*Proactive and analytical mindset
*Demonstrable influencing skills
*Confident in presenting to Senior Management and Directors
