Our client an instantly recognisable household name is looking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to their small friendly finance team based in Coalville, Leicestershire.
This is an exciting opportunity for an Experienced candidate to join a superb organisation, the role would suit a candidate who is actively studying their ACCA, CIMA or nearly completed their AAT, as the duties will corollate nicely.
The role:
-Input & analyse financial information accurately to support Accountants & FMs to enable financial reporting and transaction processing.
-Assist with financial reporting
-Provide and communicate financial information as required.
-Generate accruals, prepayments and journals, providing detailed analysis of overhead expenditure.
-Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and assist the Finance Manager, identifying key risks and opportunities.
-Take responsibility for assigned general ledger accounts.
-Produce meaningful commentary to financial reports, enabling better budget control.
-Conduct analysis and processing activities.
-Provide analysis to measure performance against budget, forecasts and business cases.
-Participate in projects, providing support for improving business processes and procedures.
-Suggest continuous improvement ideas
Experience / Candidate Characteristics
-Preferably experience of operating in a Finance function / environment.
-Experience of using Microsoft Excel
-Experience of delivering to deadlines
-Attention to detail
-Proficient analytical and numerical skills
-Self-motivated and enthusiastic
