Accounts Assistant

THE COMPANY:

Brewster Partners are recruiting an experienced Accounts Assistant for a large market leading organisation based in Sheffield for a fixed term contract (requires immediate start). Close to the motorway they are commutable from Barnsley, Rotherham, Chesterfield and Worksop.

THE JOB:

Reporting to the Financial Controller duties will include:

To assist and support all members of the local finance & accounting department
Preparation of daily sales information and distribution to the management team
Preparation and posting of journals at month end
Supplier statement reconciliations
Checking of expense claims and credit cards ready to be processed
Company car administration
Assisting with the monthly reporting and analysis during month end
Reconciling balance sheets
Internal reporting and analysis of monthly results
To provide support to the department with general administration and ad-hoc duties
To provide excellent customer service, over the telephone and in person answering standard queries for internal and external customers
To professionally meet and greet visitors at reception as required
Participate in special projects as required

THE PERSON:

Must be educated to GCSE Level C Maths standard
The successful candidate will be studying towards AAT
Previous experience is essential
Ability to demonstrate accuracy, attention to detail, numeracy and ability to prioritise effectively is required
Excellent computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office applications
You must be able to meet deadlines and achieve targets in a timely manner
