DEPUTY CHIEF FINANCE OFFICER De Montfort University Leicester

De Montfort University is a leading higher education institution, recognised across the world as a centre of excellence with over 20,000 students across its four faculties of Art, Design and Humanities, Business and Law, Health and Life Sciences, and Computing, Engineering and Media. 

This key appointment will lead the finance directorate, reporting to the Chief Finance Officer, and will meet and exceed the expectations of a number of key stakeholders. You will drive the financial and commercial performance of the University, developing high-performing teams. Key accountabilities include financial planning, management accounting, budgeting, forecasting, financial accounting and reporting, taxation and activity-based costing.

This Senior role will operate and communicate at all levels in the University; strategic to operational. With a team of around 70 staff, the post-holder will be responsible for engaging, and meeting the needs of, key internal and external stakeholders including Executive Board members, Governors and senior academic staff. The role will be integral to the success and sustainability of the University through the development of high-performing, motivated, empowered, customer-focussed teams.
