As a niche, independent Professional Business Services group, this established organisation operates within a highly competitive and fast-moving market place. Enjoying continued financial and operational growth and with a commitment to continued profitable strategic expansion, the Board is currently seeking a ACA or ACCA qualified accountant to take up a commercially-focused Financial Controller role. Supporting the Board in driving commercial MI and KPIs' alongside improved systems, enhanced profitability and value creation, you will provide financial leadership and a comprehensive management and analytical resource to the business. Your varied brief includes:

•Driving the quarterly and annual budgeting & reporting cycle
•Review & management of weekly & monthly cash flow
•Development & delivery of financial reporting to SMT & the Board to support decision making
•Preparation of monthly P&L & financial statements
•Overseeing the control of Payables, Receivables & Payroll
•Preparation & review of annual audit pack
•Ensuring quality control over financial transactions & financial reporting
•Co-ordination & overseeing the preparation of VAT returns & financial forecasts
•Development, implementation & documentation of business processes & accounting policies to ensure robust financial control
•Management of 2 member of staff

As an ACA or ACCA qualified accountant, having trained within the profession, with strong technical accounting and commercial skills gained within an expanding SME environment, and ideally within the Professional or Business Services sector, you will demonstrate a track record of delivering robust financial and cost control, business profitability, increasing financial value and challenging key stakeholders on business-critical decision making. The role demands strong technical capability, the ability to plan for future growth, the gravitas to positively influence the Board and a hands-on, proactive approach. This is an excellent opportunity to undertake a highly visible role and positively impact on the business as a member of the Senior Management team.
