Financial Accountant

£100m+ turnover professional and award-winning FMCG manufacturing group have an opportunity for a qualified Financial Accountant / Finance Manager. You will join a market leading business and be responsible for an extremely broad and interesting remit (reporting to Head of Finance locally).

Your role will include:

• Overhead analysis and reporting, working closely with budget holders to reduce overspend, drive profitability and understanding variances to expectation.
• Daily, weekly and month analysis and reporting of financial performance at site.
• Regular forecasting.
• Capex reporting / ROI appraisals.
• Cashflow management.
• Year end statutory reporting, audit liaison.
• National Statistics and Intrastat.
• Team Leadership (coaching / managing / mentoring).

This is a fast paced group amid exciting change. They have recently secured impressive new long term contracts and you will play an integral role in assisting the Head of Finance through the period of growth and significant investment.

You have the autonomy and support to allow you to drive positive change. You will be involved in projects surrounding development of reporting, enhancement of controls and improvement of efficiencies through month end and year end.

You will be:

• A proactive and technically sound qualified accountant who will enjoy the cut and thrust of a fast paced manufacturing environment.
• Highly IT literate with excellent working knowledge of Excel.
• Someone able to bring out the best in others.
• A collaborative team player with excellent communication skills.
• Someone able to discuss financial information with non finance budget holders.
• Comfortable producing management accounts and statutory accounts.
