My client, a 20mil t/o retail business in Central London, is seeking a Finance Assistant to join their lively finance team. Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, main duties include:
- Bank reconciliations/cash books maintenance
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Stock journal posting
- Purchase and sales ledger reconciliations
- Credit control
- VAT returns
The ideal candidate will be from a retail/FMCG/consumer background, and have started their accountancy qualification. As part of a small finance team, you will be willing to learn the nuances of the business, but also independent enough to work unsupervised. Knowledge of VAT is obligatory.
