Managing a small team, this role is responsible for External Financial Reporting , including preparation of the statutory accounts for the Group and providing technical advice on IFRS for operational finance teams. Key responsibilities will include: Handling the statutory accounts and process for 30-40 companies Preparing for IFRS 16 and reviewing the process for its implementationEnsuring process and controls are in compliance with relevant accounting policies (both internal and external);Coordination of the Statutory Audit processLead a team that provides the central point of reference for technical advice and guidance on accounting matters including M&A transactions and ad hoc top management queries.To lead, develop and support the team and lead on integration and synergies with the Shared Service Centre. The successful candidate will be ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA qualified with strong IFRS knowledge (including IFRS 9) and experience in working in a Group function of a large organisation. You will be expected to be able to work independently with a methodical and flexible approach to ensure deadlines are achieved. Must be available with 2 weeks' notice
