International and rapidly expanding Retail Tech business based in London now seeks to appoint a Group Financial Controller in a newly created role. Growing by acquisition and organic means, this Group Financial Controller role presents a hugely exciting opportunity to be part of the organisation’s next chapter and help shape its future strategic direction. You will lead and drive for improvements and show curiosity and constructive challenge.
Role
Reporting to the Group Finance Director, you will drive both group reporting and forecasting activities. As part of the leadership team, the Group Financial Controller is expected to play an active role in all key operational and commercial decisions and is a critical part of the strategic planning process. The latter involves being comfortable with complex financial forecasting models as the company continues to plan its ambitious growth. Additional responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring compliance with all internal and external requirements for statutory, business and corporate reporting
- Responsible for all areas of the consolidated financial planning and reporting process
- Reviewing processes, identifying and implementing improvement opportunities to maximise process quality and efficiency
- Delivering high standards of compliance and control, ensuring that all Group, local legal, company law and HMRC requirements are met
- Providing high quality management reporting for the business, providing insight & analysis to support the decision-making process, while avoiding surprises
- Responsible for managing the relationship with external auditors including impairment
About You
Preferably ACA qualified with likely 4-7yrs post qualified experience, you will have presence, gravitas, credibility, charisma and the ability to engage effortlessly and confidently with senior leaders. The Group Financial Controller will be able to challenge the “status quo” to drive business performance and be comfortable building strategic relationships and managing key stakeholders. We are looking for a truly progressive, insightful and influential future leader with the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.
