Financial Accountant

Our PE backed client, who are a specialist service provider, has experienced phenomenal growth over the last 12 years due to making key acquisitions, which has now resulted in revenues exceeding £90 million. They are now seeking to recruit a commercially focused Financial Accountant to join a fast paced and successful Finance team.

Reporting directly into the Finance Director, this new role will work alongside the current reporting teams to ensure the business transformational projects are delivered, whilst offering the successful candidate the opportunity for extensive career development.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Supporting the Finance Director and CFO in tracking and reporting on business strategies and capital investment decisions that are critical to the continued growth of the organisation
• Supporting the Finance Director and Financial Controller in the preparation of the monthly reporting packs and Annual Operating Plans for Senior Management
• Supporting the finance team with the transition to IFRS, change in revenue reporting and supporting the business through the period of change by identifying reporting weakness and how to build new improved reports that support key stakeholder requirements
• Help create a reconciliation process between the new HR system and the FP&A employee and headcount files to help improve forecasting accuracy, speed of reporting and corporate reporting alignment
• Continuously reviewing finance processes and procedures to identify potential efficiencies and automating reports that support the implementation of those process improvements

• Supporting for pre-acquisition due-diligence and post-acquisition integration of acquired entities including assessment of commercial performance to identify and quantify potential synergies

Skills and experience:

Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
Advanced Excel skills
Excellent analytical and quantitative skills with emphasis on accuracy and thoroughness
Ability to adapt communication style based on audience
Ability to work well under tight time frames, without sacrificing quality
Experience in managing financial accounting
