Ignata Finance are working with a global business located in Gatwick for the recruitment of a Finance Business Partner. You will be part of a strong leadership team working with the head of commercial finance to deliver robust financial reporting and analysis to ensure 5 year strategy plans are met. You will be a ‘true’ finance business partner with the responsibility of delivering the budget and forecasting process whilst ensuring you are adequately challenging with a solutions focused approach to improving profits.
Due to the nature of the role you will ideally match the following:
- You will be a qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA)
- You will ideally hold a relevant degree e.g Mathematics, Accountancy or Business
- Recent experience partnering non-finance teams which must include head of departments/Directors
- Experience of stakeholder management
- Experience of presenting using PowerPoint
- Experience of month end, financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting is essential (from a medium to large organisation)
- Proven track record within finance by promotions and key achievements
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the financial reporting which will include key reporting in relation to month end and the budgeting process. You will be tasks with ensuring current reporting methods are updated and adapted according to business needs/systems changes.
- Responsible for tracking business costs v forecast
- Responsible for delivering accurate forecasting to various business units.
- Responsible for revenue analysis and ensure any risks/opportunities are highlighted to relevant teams.
- At all times ensure you are fairly challenging business decisions offering workable solutions to drive business profitability.
- Lead key business projects ensuring budget v forecast is adhered to and communicating any variances with relevant teams.
- Produce and deliver detailed insight and commentary using financial models to explain key changes and variations to existing plans.
- Undertake investment appraisals which will include all associated analysis and commentary.
- Through providing analysis and insight you will ensure this is aligned to strategic planning.
- Actively involved in the production of the budgeting process whilst continuously seeking ways to increase business profits.
- Support the financial accounting team to ensure adequate financial controls are maintained.
