A global sector leading business has an opportunity for a Finance Manager to join the Statutory Accounting team.

The Role

This management role supervises a team of 6 direct reports and has overall responsibility for submitting both UK and Overseas legal entity statutory reporting. You will also act as a key contact to external authorities and auditors to resolve any queries.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the timely preparation and submission of statutory reporting of multiple legal entities
  • Managing multiple (20+) VAT returns and corresponding preparation of paperwork for payment
  • Preparing and reviewing balance sheet reconciliations
  • Managing intrastats reporting and various other regulatory reporting
  • Acting as the key point of contact between the business and local authorities - manage the relationship with tax team
  • Managing the relationship with external auditors
  • Developing & implementing processes to drive efficiency and quality improvements
  • Assisting with other ad hoc projects as and when required

Candidate Requirements

  • Experienced Financial Accountant
  • Experience gained in a similar management role
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills
  • Able to confidently liaise with external auditors and authorities
  • Excellent time management skills

Salary, Contract and Benefits

  • £50,000 - £60,000 per annum + bonus
