An entrepreneurial private-equity backed technology company is recruiting a Financial Controller to support growth. Based in Hertfordshire, this multi-entity business is rapidly expanding. The Financial Controller position has been created to support the CFO, duties include:
Financial Reporting & Financial Management
- Prepare for review and timely publication the monthly financial statements including group related companies and consolidation
- Manage accounting operations (billing, A/R, A/P, GL payroll, etc)
- Produce relevant monthly KPI reports as required
- Business partner with relevant parties to ensure variance analysis reports are completed
- Prepare monthly submission monitoring files
- Coordinate the statutory accounts process
Compliance And Control
- Oversight of the control sheet process preparation, process improvement to reduce production timescales and resources
- Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Ensure VAT, PAYE & statutory returns are filed on time
Other
- Team management – mentor & develop
- Support the implementation of new accounting systems
Candidate Profile
- Qualified Accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Strong financial accounting experience (statutory accounts)
- Experience of change management (e.g. IT systems, controls)
- Desirable – private-equity sector experience
