Corporate Senior

A leading Firm of Chartered Accountants based in Stockport are looking to appoint an Audit Senior to work within their Corporate Services department.

This position will take responsibility for running audits, working directly with clients under management supervision on the planning, execution and finalisation of audit assignments.  You will manage audit teams for various clients across a range of industries and supervise audit processes to ensure high quality.

Principal duties and responsibilities

Perform quality and relevant work of both an accounting and an audit nature for a range of clients and in so doing:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and develop a strong understanding of their business.
• Sets priorities, defines activities, gives responsibilities and plans work so that results are achieved on budget, within agreed time scales and within client expectations.
• Ensure that the firms risk management and quality control procedures are adhered to at all times.
• Identify and recognise business and sales opportunities with new and existing clients and inform the client partner/manager and client as appropriate.
• Supervising audit trainees, reviewing their work and providing on-the-job training and helping with their work.
• Preparing Statutory Accounts and draft corporation tax computations.
• Delivering expertise across primary accounting frameworks.
• Support partners and senior managers in the development of new business.
