Corporate Finance Manager

A new role has been created within the Corporate Finance function of a FTSE-listed consumer business to provide high-quality, smart analytics and solutions to enable decision making at Group level relating to corporate finance activities.  Offering excellent exposure to the CFO and a range of other senior stakeholders, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to increase the profile of the function and drive performance.

Reporting into a very impressive Director, the successful will be tasked with redesigning and driving the Group’s five-year plan financial model and executing financial analysis related to the annual 5YP forecasting process.  They will continuously update and maintain corporate finance policies and procedures including capital allocation decision making and investment evaluation methodology and will gather Group capital expenditure budgets and track individual and overall spend against pre-defined targets and objectives.  They will implement initiatives to drive improvement in the Group’s cash flow and balance sheet position and provide financial analysis and support to M&A activities which feed independent valuation, due diligence and capital allocation acquisition-related advice to the CFO.

Candidates will be bright, driven and motivated to succeed in a relatively lean environment where autonomy is encouraged.  They will have a strong academic profile and be able to demonstrate relevant experience in relation to the above.  They will have a recognised qualification (either ACA or CFA) and will, most likely, come from a professional services or investment banking background.  The must have experience in building and operating complex financial and valuation models, preferably within a banking or PLC environment – this will be probed at interview.
