Group Accountant

My client, a global, market leading international manufacturing business in the Skelmersdale area is looking to recruit a qualified Group Accountant to strengthen their accounts function.

Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, the Group Accountant will be Responsible for the timely and accurate reporting of management information for the Group and UK entities.

The Group Accountant will lead the management and production of consolidated monthly results, circulating the Financial Reporting Pack to regional business units and group.

The Group Accountant will also be involved in all Group Financial Accounting duties, covering statutory reporting of UK Group entities, meeting the Group’s external and internal reporting requirements whilst providing support to senior management with ad-hoc requirements e.g acquisitions.

The ideal candidate will be an ambitious, inquisitive ACA, ACCA, CIMA Qualified Accountant with comprehensive technical knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.  Due to the nature of this role and interaction with finance and non-finance senior management teams, excellent communication and excel skills are essential as successful candidate will be required to work effectively with both internal stakeholders and external service providers. You will also be primary contact for external auditors.
