Elevation Accountancy and Finance are exclusively partnering with a leading international Manufacturing business in Sheffield to recruit an interim Senior Management Accountant. This role will provide cover for an internal secondment for approximately 12 months and interested candidates must be available to start in early March.

As the Senior Management Accountant, you will report into the Finance Director and be responsible for the effective management of a Payroll Clerk and Purchase Ledger Administrator. Key responsibilities will include:

-Preparing accurate and timely management reporting in line with daily, weekly and monthly reporting deadlines
-Ensuring that reports are relevant and providing insightful and up to date information to aid management decision making
-Producing adhoc information and analysis for the group finance team
-Assisting the Finance Director with forecasting, monitoring and reporting
-Ensuring that customer payments are processed in a timely manner and queries are progressed quickly in order to facilitate payments
-Reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts ensuring any identified financial risks are escalated
-Recognising ways to reduce costs and implementing productivity and process improvements

A good level of Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPS and SUMIFS) is essential, as is recent experience in a similar role. The successful candidate will have an ability and willingness to challenge the status quo and a flexible attitude.
