Management Accountant

Global sports organisation based in Kent are looking for a Management Accountant to join their HQ. Key aspects of the role will include budgeting/forecasting, business partnering senior management and providing technical support to the wider group. The role will suit a CIMA qualified accountant with around 2/3 years PQE as a guideline.

The Role

• Work with and support the existing management accounting team responsible for financial control, planning and reporting for the technology division of the business
• Heavily involved in the production of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
• Identify, investigate and explain variances to budget and forecast.
• Act as the bridge between Finance and Operations ensuring that operational management is fully supported.
• Analysis and understanding of financial information along with the subsequent production of meaningful and informative management reporting.
• Responsibility for ensuring compliance with established financial processes and procedures by the various functions within the technical division.

The Person

• CIMA Qualified
• Strong academic background
• Strong Microsoft Excel abilities and general data manipulation and analytical skills
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Recent experience of management reporting
• Experience of providing financial information to a non-financial audience
