We’re looking to Secure a Finance Manager to cover a 12 month Maternity Leave within a FTSE listed banking Group. Reporting to the Financial Controller of the Treasury Function, this person will support her while overseeing two qualified accountants. Generally speaking the role is quite broad but focussing on the preparation of Monthly and year end reporting, Control over the Balance Sheet and P&L and working on a number of Ad Hoc projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for Balance Sheet and P&L– including month end reviews and reconciliations
- Prepare monthly management accounts, including detailed variance analysis and commentary
- Reconcile and review the Treasury intercompany balances for Subsidiaries and divisions
- Prepare and own interim and year end reporting to Group
- Prepare year end subsidiary statutory accounts
- Assist the audit processes (internal and external / statutory and regulatory), ensuring an accurate, efficient and clean audit
- Oversee VAT and CT returns
- Coach, Mentor and Develop two direct reports (both qualified)
- Contribute to ad-hoc projects as necessary
About you:
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA or CIMA) with at least 2-3 years post-qualified experience (PQE)
- Audit trained
- Ideally some PQE within Industry (though not essential)
- Management Experience
- Strong technical Knowledge and an interest in the commercial operations of the business
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with SAP and/or TMS (strongly beneficial)
- Immediately available/or at least on Short notice
