Your new role
Reporting into the Finance Director, you will be taking on a key role for the Chambers business overseeing the management accounting for both companies in the group; Chambers Waste and Chambers Runfold who have class leading sites in Guildford and Farnham. In addition, you will be managing a team of 9 who look after the accounting for the business including purchase ledger, sales ledger, billing and accounts preparation to trial balance. The management accounts you produce are key for the Directors to take commercial decisions and will include a summary with P&L, cost centre reports, variances to prior year and statistical business reports/analysis. You will be using Sage 200 and Excel on a day to day basis.
What you'll need to succeed
In addition to your finance qualification (CIMA/ACA/ACCA/qualified by experience) you should have strong experience in management accounting and working in an SME, family run environment. This role is hands on so you need to be comfortable and happy getting stuck into all areas of the business and managing the finance department on a day to day basis! Whist the accounts team of 9 are very experienced, prior team leadership experience would be advantageous for success in the role. You will be based mainly in the Guildford site with travel 1 to 2 days a week to the Farnham site.
