Finance Manager - Nottingham £30,000-£40,000

RattrayParkin are recruiting for a Finance Manager, to join a Hi Tech service centre SME business in Nottingham.

This job within a small team will report to the Financial Controller and will produce, review and complete monthly financial statements, Management Accounts, Cash flow reports, Tax returns, end of year statutory reporting, audit preparation and will offer support and advice to the wider business.

The role will head up a small finance team over time and requires an element of 'hands on' accounting to get into the detail and to drive efficiencies.

· Management of daily activities of the Finance Department

· Full production of monthly management accounts

· Preparation of detailed cash-flow forecasts

· Annual budget and 3 and 5 year strategic plan

· Balance sheet reconciliations

· Preparation of financial statements

· Install, manage and improve ERP system

· Build close relationships with internal stakeholders based across Europe, external auditors and regulatory bodies

· Management of banking relations

· Communication with key external stakeholder, customers and suppliers

· Fixed asset register, depreciation

The ideal candidate:

Good interpersonal communication skills, such as written, oral and persuasive communication abilities

Characteristics of thoroughness, self-motivation, persistence, resilience and dedication to deadlines

Good maths and computer skills especially MS Excel and an SME finance system

Analytical and logical problem solving skills

Good attention to detail

An ability to explain complex financial information in a clear way to non-finance people

Honesty and discretion

Able to work within a small team with a close relationship to senior staff

Tenacious - someone wanting to grow within a business and add value

CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified or QBE
