Finance Manager

Astute Financial Recruitment is working with a leading Derbyshire-based company seeking a new Finance Manager to help lead the organisation from a financial perspective.

Reporting to the Finance Director, you will provide sound financial advice and you will be responsible for the day to day management of the finance team.

This position would ideally suit a qualified accountant or finalist with experience in the manufacturing sector. This is an extremely rare opportunity providing the successful applicant with genuine support and development to grow for succession planning purposes.

The role:

• Staff Supervision: Supervising, developing and the evaluation of the finance team
• Production of full monthly management accounts pack
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Overhead analysis and cost control
• Foreign currency management
• Liaise with HMRC and other external parties for all tax enquiries
• Liaising with the external auditor and assisting with the year end audit – Full support will be given for statutory accounts if you have no prior experience
• Presenting cashflow, budgeting and finance analysis to FD and senior management team

The person:

• Qualified (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent) accountant
• Stock control experience preferred with a background in Pharmaceuticals, Manufacturing or FMCG
• Process & System Improvement - Experience or interest in IT projects

The rewards:

• Hours of Work; 09.00am to 17.00pm – 1 hour for lunch. 5 days per week – Monday to Friday
• Holiday Entitlement: 23 Days per year plus Bank Holidays.
