Management Accountant/ Senior Management Accountant

Group of expanding and acquisitive companies have a requirement for a finalist / fully qualified Management Accountant to be based at a key subsidiary in Derby.

You will be responsible for the management accounting, financial reporting and day to day financial management for a £25m turnover subsidiary business (supported by the highly approachable Group FC).

You will have enjoy valuable and interesting variety in the role gaining close exposure to the non finance leadership teams and the board of directors.

The period to period elements of the role will include: management accounts preparation and presentation, budgets and variance reporting, cash management and forecasting, all aspects of month end close management for the busy and growing smaller subsidiary.

You will also enjoy involvement in a range of continuous improvement projects surrounding:

Development of the robust controls and enhancement of the commercial reporting (around profit streams, margin trending, market analysis, customer activity, KPIs etc.) System development Mentoring others (finance and non finance colleagues) A superb springboard for an ambitious part or newly qualified management accountant within a highly progressive group.  You will enjoy being part of a large cash rich organisation whilst having the visibility, breadth of role, autonomy and support of a vibrant SME.

You will need:

• Previous experience of preparing management accounts (P&L and BS)
• CIMA / ACCA qualification (part or fully qualified)
• Excellent analytical skills and advanced knowledge of Excel
• Confident and professional communication skills
• A keenness to learn and an ability to balance ad hoc tasks alongside routine reporting deadlines.
