Statutory Accounting Manager

A global engineering company is looking for a Statutory Accounting Manager to join their Hampshire based team. The organisation is passionate about improving the way the world works through innovative solutions.

Role Description

The Statutory Accounting Manager will oversee the UK Statutory team, as well as being responsible for liaising with and providing requested information for external auditors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the preparation of all the Group's UK statutory financial statements of approximately 25 entities with substantial complexity and revenue
• Manage the UK Statutory team & work with the shared services for statutory as well as general shared services located in the Bratislava Business Centre
• Assist in ensuring that the group's financial statements and related disclosures are prepared in an environment that is fully compliant with SOX 404
• Liaise with, and provide requested information and documentation to the group's external auditors
• Manage the preparation and issuance of UK related financial filings (e.g. statistical etc)
• Prepare for future governance changes before implementation

Candidate Requirements

The ideal Accountant will have:

• A university degree in Accounting or Finance
• A Certified or Chartered Accounting designation
• Extensive post qualified experience in Statutory Accounting and Audits
• The ability to read, analyse and interpret technical accounting literature and technical procedures to prepare technical accounting memos
• Management experience (advantageous)
• Experience in an accounting firm / private practice (advantageous but not mandatory)
• Strong knowledge of FRS102, US GAAP and IFRS
• Good organisation and management skills

Salary, Contract and Benefits

• Competitive salary – £50,000 - £70,000 p.a.
• Permanent, full time contract
