An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Financial Planning and Analysis team for a Financial Analyst to support the Planning and Reporting manager. Due to the relatively small size of the team, the role will be involved in supporting all the different elements of work the team is responsible for.

This will included the following:

* Production and analysis of planning data, including production of the planning model including the P&L, IFRS and market value balance sheets, including liaising with LV to bring their data in
* Building controls around planning data to ensure reliability and consistency of data
* Reporting of planning data to Group and internally, including input into the Planning and Strategic Dialogues and producing KPIs and other metrics
* Planning - assisting with the preparation of the Corporate Plan activities, including coordination of inputs, aggregation of revenue plans and preparation of Corporate Plan meetings
* IFRS 17 - assisting to understand the impact on the team's activities, most notably the planning cycle, and involvement in changing the processes to reflect the new standard
* Productivity Reporting - responsible for leading on this within the team to understand requirements, build solutions and effectively manage, support and influence local and Group stakeholders
* Assisting with other reporting, such as ABI reporting and quarterly reporting locally and to Group
* Value adding financial analysis, including investigations into projects and expense savings
* Adhoc support, including covering other work in the team

Technical Skills:
* Finance/accounting practical experience
* IT literate including MS office (essential)
* Intermediate/Advanced Excel including pivot tables & lookups (essential)
* SAP reporting (desirable)
* Powerpoint / presentation software (desirable)
* An understanding of the reporting chart of accounts (desirable)
* Knowledge of the insurance industry (desirable)

Qualifications:
* Educated to at least A-level (including one numeracy-based subject) or equivalent.
* Minimum part-qualified towards Accountancy qualification or similar (essential)

* Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the business.
* Highly numerate with attention to detail.
* Well-organised and reliable.
* Proven ability to consistently meet tight timescales & deadlines.
