Group Financial Analyst

SF Recruitment are working with a leading manufacturer of automotive components with a historical footprint across the West Midlands. Based in Birmingham with an open and friendly culture our client is recruiting for a Group Financial Analyst with the ability to liaise at all levels both in a financial and non-financial capacity.

As the Group Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for:

A) Taking on and developing the Company's integrated Mid term financial modelling (including balance sheet, cash flows R&P Cash flows an P&Ls)

- Develop the model to accepted standards at entity and consolidated level
- Document the assumptions and key data inputs
- Summarise the model at group and operational company level with a view to presenting to management
- Reconciling mid term forecasts to specific short term cash flow forecasts in order to prove the balance sheet working capital unwind
- To develop and record key working capital trends and metrics and model them accordingly

B) Developing a quarterly, annual and three year forecasting for the group and its subsidiaries

- To establish and run a quarterly forecasting timetable and process that operating management are aware of and commit to.
- To ensure that operating management of entities have access to, and understanding of, their forecasts
- To ensure operating management provide forecast assumptions and data and thereby 'own' their forecasts
- Identify and report on variances to budget and prior forecasts
- To constructively criticise operational forecasts and challenge for improvement where required

C) You will also be responsible for:

- Review entity balance sheet data and ensure that its both analysed appropriately and available for using in forecasting
- Supporting Company working capital and other formal funding exercises with suitable financial forecasts
- Support the MD, CEO and FD in assessing and acting upon forecasts

This is a fantastic opportunity for both Qualified and Non Qualified Finance candidates with a strong analytical background. You must have a proven track record of working with large sets of data on excel and have the demonstrable skill set to manipulate the data at hand accordingly. This will suit someone that is keen to take on an a challenging opportunity giving them great exposure to a strong senior management team.
