Management Accountant newly qualified

My client is an international LSE quoted Manufacturing group with a product which can help save the planet!

Responsible for financial reporting associated with the consortium, but working as part of the group finance function:

• Produce monthly management accounts and underlying transactions
• Explanation of results & improvement areas to non-finance managers
• Annual budget & periodic forecasts
• Cash flow forecasting
• Review and analysis of monthly results covering variances to Budget & Forecast
• Preparation of year-end statutory accounts for 2 companies
• Liaise with auditors and various authorities
• Be accountable for financial processes and procedures to ensure regulations and standards are met
• Continually looking to improve systems and processes across finance
• Ensure proper recording and maintenance of fixed assets
• Completing other submissions and working on ad-hoc projects as required
• A clear communicator, both written and verbal
• Must have a desire to learn new skills while becoming an integral member of the team committed to driving the company forward
• Must be able to demonstrate drive, ambition and vision
• Must be organised, structured & results/execution focused
• Will have a proven track record within a similar business assisting in the production of management accounts
• Will ideally have a demonstrated ability to communicate financial information to senior company staff
• Will ideally have come from an environment which included exposure to a broad range of accounting and finance matters
• At least 2-3 years of relevant experience working within a finance team with exposure to a broad range of finance and accounting processes
• Degree from a reputable university
• Qualified accountant - CIMA (or equivalent)
• Proficiency in SAP (ideally)
• Experience within a production environment is desirable
• Ability to quickly adapt to accounting systems
• Advanced Excel skills a must to be efficient in report generation
• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize in a fast-paced, dynamically changing environment
• Must be detail oriented
• Self-motivated accountant who is confident in working on their own initiative but enjoys working within a team environment
