A well known and leading online fashion retailer are currently recruiting for a Transactional Manager on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for leading and directing +20 team members of the transaction processing teams including purchase ledger and cash management. This role overseas the planning, operations and administration of these teams and maintains an environment of ongoing continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
Operations
Responsible for the overall management of the staff within the Transactional Processing teams, with direct focus on the management team, promoting effective delegation and staff utilisation, professional development, cross training and talent succession planning
Oversee the teams, ensuring all transactions and analysis are completed on time and accurately to support the monthly financial close.
Continuously work to manage and reduce operating costs through process and technology efficiencies
Monitor compliance of accounting policies and internal controls and support internal and external audits
Ensure strong protections against fraud and abuse in transaction processing
Process Improvement / Project Management
Leads or contributes on finance systems projects in the design, implementations, enhancements, and continuous improvements by reviewing flow of transactions through source systems; monitoring configuration decisions; and ensuring new systems, upgrades, and other system maintenance activities do not impact operations, financial statements, or leadership decision making
Promote and strengthen process and controls by executing projects and leading a team to identify, develop, implement, and monitor the effectiveness of process improvement projects focused on Procure to Pay.
Review performance indicators to detect process improvement opportunities; develop a business plan to deploy actions to automate, re-engineer, or improve processes
In order to be considered for the role you must have extensive experience and expertise managing and overseeing all functions of Transactional Accounting including but not limited to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Cash Management. You will have experience in building business cases to pitch new concepts or systems to include but not limited to, process documenting. You will also have experience in building and integrating processes supporting new business models and business strategies.
