THE COMPANY:

They are now looking for a strong candidate with relevant experience to join their Purchase Ledger team in Leeds. Their offices are based on the south side of Leeds City Centre so they are ideally located for candidates from Leeds, Wakefield, Huddersfield, Bradford, and the West Yorkshire region.

THE JOB:

Your main duties will include:

  • Scanning and processing invoices onto SAP
  • The processing of payment runs for suppliers
  • Regular analysis of invoices to ensure accuracy of costing and forecasting
  • Liaison with the management accounts team and operational sites to determine and verify accurate costs and coding information
  • Dealing with internal and external queries
  • Carrying out regular supplier reconciliations
  • Advising the system users on "best Practice" and resolving difficulties

THE PERSON:

  • Previous experience of working in a finance environment - preferably in a busy, high volume accounts payable role
  • AAT or an accounting qualification would be desirable but not essential
  • An ability to quickly learn new systems and be able to advise others on its use
  • An excellent range of communication and customer service skills with both internal and external customers
  • A high level of IT skills including experience of computerised accounting processes, Outlook and Excel
  • The ability to work flexibly to meet the demands of the service particularly during busy periodsA range of excellent interpersonal skills and a strong team working orientation
