Based in East London my client runs a small but expanding chain of retail outlets selling sports equipment.
The products are up market and popular and two more shops will be added to the existing chain this year to make six.
They are of a size now where they need some additional finance support in terms of an experienced FD.
This will be a hands on role managing the output of a book-keeper.
The accounts are fully integrated using a system called Bright pearl.
It was clear to me that the system was not being used to its best advantage and more could be done on cash flow reporting and management accounting.
This part time role would probably require four days a month possibly more and would suit someone looking to develop their own portfolio of clients or a retired Finance Director looking to keep their hand in!
A day rate of £500 - £600 is envisaged.
