Financial Accountant

Financial Accountant | Surrey | £50,000 - £55,000 per annum plus benefits 

Working alongside the Group Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant will be responsible for delivering a number of the business critical processes within the finance function.

Responsibilities:

• Annual preparation of financial statements for all legal entities within the Group in accordance with IFRS.
• Liaising successfully with third party auditors during both Group and statutory audit
• Working closely with tax team in relation to compliance and business planning
• Producing quarterly Board packs for key stakeholder
• Preparing the necessary accounting papers in support of technical review
• Critically analysing monthly result
• Working closely with FP&A teams

The successful candidate will be a technically strong, qualified Financial Accountant (ACA or ACCA), with previous experience in a similar type of role and proven ability to work with and influence senior personnel. This role could very well suit an Audit Manager or equivalent, looking for a first move out of a top 10 practice. You must be an ambitious, driven and self motivated individual, with outstanding communication skills and the ability to improve efficiencies where required. Other prerequisites include:

• Strong financial systems ability
• Excellent spreadsheet skills
• Eye for detail with a disciplined and organised approach to work
• Strong verbal/written communication skills
