Management accountant

A high growth, Private Equity backed Manufacturing SME are looking for a Management Accountant to join them for a full-time, temporary role that has potential to go permanent for the right candidate. Based in Lincoln, candidates are required to start at short notice.

Responsibilities of your new role

Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in the delivery of management and financial accounts. Your principal duties as Management Accountant will include:

• Completing month end processes
• Accruals and Prepayments
• Fixed asset accounting including register maintenance
• Standard vs. actual costs analysis
• Balance sheet reconciliations of key accounts
• Assisting with preparation of the monthly reporting pack (including month end commentary on overhead costs, capex)
• Variance analysis of actual results versus budget / forecasts with focus on overhead expenses. Understanding and investigating any material discrepancies

Candidate profile

The business is hoping to hear from immediately available Management Accountant applicants who demonstrate:

• Professional accounting qualification or QBE
• Team management experience
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Commercial approach and sound technical ability

Salary and contract

The successful Management Accountant will be offered £20.00 - £22.00 per hour, dependent on experience. There is potential for this role to go from temporary to permanent.
