Finance Manager

A rapidly growing family owned SME in Solihull who import bespoke products from abroad and approach both domestic and foreign markets with their products are looking for a Finance Manager to join them for a full-time, permanent role.

Your new employer

The Finance Manager will be joining a business who supply both trade businesses and buyers online and are looking to start increasing performance through ecommerce. They have recruited individuals recently for other areas of the business, increasing their head-count to just over 20 people across the warehouse and office.

Responsibilities of your new role

As Finance Manager you will oversee Finance and report into the owners of the business. Your primary duties will include:

• Operating alongside other areas of the business to identify how to drive continuous improvement throughout processes.
• Supporting the management team in day to day finance responsibilities and developing with the business over the coming years.
• Cash-flow, bank reconciliations and forecasting as well as processing purchase/sales ledger through Sage 200.
• Monthly management accounts preparation for both sides of the business (ecommerce and trade)
• Involvement with the year-end accounts for external accountants.
• Processing invoices for customers and external parties including shipping companies.

It is envisaged that the finance function will grow as the business grows, meaning there will be team management responsibilities in the future.

Candidate requirements

The business is looking for a Finance Manager who demonstrates:

• An engaging attitude to work starting at interview stage.

• Experience of importing product from overseas and managing foreign currency transactions is beneficial but not essential.
• Qualified or Qualified by Experience accountant.
• Experience of working within ecommerce is preferred but not essential.
• Sage 200 or Sage 50 experience.

Although you will be tasked to oversee Finance, we are looking for someone who considers themselves as a self-starter with a positive attitude for their work.
