Accounts Assistant - £12 -15 hour - Immediate Start - Hatfield

An exciting opportunity to work for a nationally reputable FMCG company based in Hatfield has arisen. Due to the company's rapid growth, they are now on the lookout for an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a temporary to permanent basis.


Your new role

This Temp to Perm role will involve start to end processes of the purchase ledger inputting and coding purchase invoices, carrying out supplier statement reconciliation, payment runs (BACS, CHAPS) and processing expenses. In addition, this role will entail processing credit card, reconciliation, raising sales invoices and recharges, cash allocation, bank reconciliations, credit control and petty cash and banking. You will also be responsible for managing accruals, prepayments and posting journals.


What you'll need to succeed

Due to the fact you will be a key player in the team and will have fast-track progression to the role of Management Accountant, you will need to have a minimum of 2 years' experience in an Accounts Assistant role. Candidates will need a solid understanding of basic accounting principles including managing the accounts payable and account receivable ledgers as well as month end processes. The ideal candidate will be able to work on their own initiative with minimal supervision, have excellent communication/ interpersonal skills and be a team player. You will also need to be immediately available.
