Financial Accountant

A market leading UK Financial Services company are looking for a Financial Accountant to join their investment branch. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals to add value to the Accounting and Analysis team and further develop in a Finance focused career. Anyone with previous large corporate experience and is qualified or part-qualified and qualified by experience would be suitable for this position.

Responsibilities of the Financial Accountant role:

• Preparation and review of weekly and monthly management information to allow analysis of business activity
• Liaise with Group MI team to provide requested MI and answer ad hoc queries
• Preparation of year end statutory accounts to review stage, liaise with auditors to ensure year end process completed smoothly
• Accounting information to be produced in an accurate and timely manner using techniques and standards that adhere to accounting rules
• Assist with the provision of relevant projections and estimations to enable accurate budget preparation
• Accurate and timely calculations with analysis of variances against previous returns and consideration of own results against competitors
• Development of ABC analysis for various business needs
• Management of multiple stakeholders across the business

Experience/Qualifications of the Financial Accountant role:

• Qualified accountant or part-qualified and qualified by experience
• Ability to work flexibly and to deadlines
• Proactive and self-motivated attitude
• A dedicated team player
• Proficient user of IT (Microsoft Excel)
• Financial services experience is Desirable
