Axon Moore have been engaged to assist with the recruitment of a Project Accountant. Our client is a rapidly expanding PE-backed business who can offer excellent career development prospects. The Project Accountant will enjoy a varied and high-profile role which will involve working with different group businesses across the country whilst managing a portfolio of improvement projects.
Your principal responsibility will be to standardise and improve the reporting of multiple entities. To do this effectively you will need to have a collaborative and engaging style but also the confidence to ensure your recommendations are implemented in a timely manner. Additionally, you will be involved as the finance lead on a variety of IT projects so an ability to work with colleagues across a variety of functions will be key to success.
Key duties:
• Working the management teams of group businesses to appraise then improve their management reporting and analysis
• Continuous improvement of processes and controls across the Group
• Implementation of adjusted processes / reports to ensure adherence to changes in accounting regulations
• Provide the finance lead and input into IT projects across the group
Key experience / skills:
• Fully Qualified Accountant with a strong academic background and technical skills
• You’ll ideally be practice trained with experience of working with SME clients and have an eye for continuous improvement to processes / reporting / controls
• You’ll be adaptable, pro-active and determined – you’ll manage a busy workload and enjoy taking accountability for results
• You’ll have an inquisitive mind and will challenge “the how and the why” to help drive efficiency and clarity offered by reporting
• You’ll be a confident communicator who enjoys working with colleagues at all levels
The role will offer a salary of £50-55,000 plus a car allowance and bonus scheme.
